Pass Chorale Christmas Concert

The Pass Chorale " Celebration of Christmas 2016," will feature a Cantata by Banning composer and fiddler, Bill Bell. The Other Wise Man is the story of a 4th wise man that was scheduled to meet up with the other three, but his journey takes unexpected turns. The Cantata features chorus, orchestra, soloists and narration.

The Chorale will also present, "Unto Us a Child is Born," an original anthem for chorus and orchestra composed by Cherry Valley composer and guitarist, Phillip Marciszewski.

 There will be some Christmas anthems and our traditional Carol Sing-Along as well!

Calling All Singers!

The Pass Chorale will start rehearsals for the Christmas Concert on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. Yes, cool off during the hot summer by learning cool Christmas music!

We will be learning a brand new cantata by Banning composer and fiddler, Bill Bell. "The Other Wise Man" tells the story of a 4th Magi who planned to meet up with the other three to search for the baby Jesus. His journey doesn't work out as planned. There will be beautiful music for soloists, chorus and orchestra, as well as narration.

In addition, we will learn several beautiful Christmas anthems, How Unto Bethlehem, arranged by Alice Parker and Robert Shaw, a William Billings carol, A Virgin Unspotted, A Spanish carol, A La Nanita Nana arranged by Ernest Siva, a Scottish carol arranged by Theron Kirk, Baloo Lammy, and more!

Pass Chorale Spring Concert - Schubert Mass No. 5

The Pass Chorale Spring Concert, scheduled for May 15, will feature the Mass No. 5 in A flat Major, by Franz Schubert. This mass is for soloists, chorus, and orchestra. Our soloists are Penny Quinn, soprano, Lynn Ivey, alto, Rhonert Pascual, tenor, and Monty Joham, bass.

Also on the program is the premier performance of Make a Joyful Noise by Cherry Valley resident, Phillip Marciszewski. It features alto soloist, Lynn Ivey, chorus and orchestra.
There will also be patriotic music in honor of Armed Forces Day.


And for all former campers out there, some campfire rounds that you may know!

Rehearsals for Spring Concert Begin on January 26

Calling all singers! Rehearsals for the Pass Chorale Spring Concert begin on January 26th, 7:00 pm in the Gathering Hall at Dorothy Ramon Learning Center.
The major work we will be performing is Schubert's Mass No. 5 in A flat Major. This work is new to us and should be wonderful to learn.

There will be other pieces too, including some patriotic music since our concert is always near Armed Forces Day.

All singers are invited!
