PASS CHORALE BEGINS REHEARSALS FOR SPRING CONCERT

The Pass Chorale is a community chorus serving the San Gorgonio Pass Area and beyond. It is directed by Ernest Siva. We just began rehearsals for our Spring Concert scheduled for May 19, and we would like to recruit new singers! Anyone with singing experience (e.g., high school choir, church choir) is invited to try us out! Reading music is preferred, but not mandatory. We sing major works with orchestra by the classical composers. This spring we will perform the Mozart Solemn Vespers, K. 339. In addition, we present several anthems, including a wonderful arrangement of Amazing Grace. The Fly Away Medley, with orchestra, has several spiritual and gospel songs about the promised land! The Spring Concert always coincides with Armed Forces Day, so we include Armed Forces Salute, a beautiful arrangement of Battle Hymn of the Republic, and the concert ends with the orchestra playing Stars and Stripes Forever!

The Pass Chorale meets on Tuesday evenings, 7-8:30 pm, in the San Manuel Gathering Hall at Dorothy Ramon Learning Center, 127 N. San Gorgonio Ave., Banning. For further information contact Ernest and June Siva at eandjsiva@gmail.com or 951-849-4676 and leave a message.
