Pass Chorale "Celebration of Christmas"

The Pass Chorale and orchestra will present their annual Celebration of Christmas concert on December 9, 2018 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Banning. The featured work, "The Bells of Christmas,"is by Cherry Valley composer and performer, Phillip Marcizewski. It is based on the text or some Christmas carols, but with very different vocal and instrumental treatment. This is the first time the work will be performed and Phillip is now working on the orchestra parts. It is a joy leaning this piece!

But wait, there's more! There will be several Christmas anthems and our traditional Carol Sing-Along! This is always a very moving way to get into the Christmas spirit.

And there's a wonderful reception with great refreshments too.

Rehearsals for Christmas Concert Begin

Beat the summer heat by singing Christmas music all through the summer and fall. The Pass Chorale has begun rehearsals for the December 9 Christmas Concert. The featured piece is "The Bells of Christmas," a beautiful work by local composer, Phillip Marcezewski! Phillip sings bass in the Chorale and has written music for us before. We are excited to learn this piece for chorus, soloists and a variety of instruments!

We also have some beautiful Christmas anthems to learn!

Singers are welcome to join us for rehearsals on Tuesday evenings from 7 - 8:30 pm.

Pass Chorale and Orchestra - Spring Concert

The Pass Chorale and Orchestra will present the Spring Concert on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 2:30 pm at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Banning. The featured work is Beethoven's Mass in C for chorus, soloists, and orchestra. It is a beautiful work and we are having a wonderful time learning it.

In addition to the Mass, we will present a section of the program devoted to the memory of Sheldon Craig, a bass in the Chorale who died last year. He was very active in local theater, and we will sing  an anthem (for the Pass Chorale side) and some show tunes (for the theater side).

As always, there will be some patriotic music in honor of Armed Forces Day.

Pass Chorale Rehearsals Begin!

The Pass Chorale will begin rehearsals for the May 20 Spring Concert on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. The major work will be Beethoven's Mass in C. There will also be patriotic music in honor of Armed Forces Day, anthems, and more. 

We invite anyone with singing experience to join us. We meet in the Gathering Hall at Dorothy Ramon Learning Center, 127 N. San Gorgonio Ave. in Banning, 7:00 - 8:30 pm on Tuesdays.
