The Pass Chorale, a community chorus serving the Pass area
and surrounding communities, has begun rehearsals for their second major
concert of the year, the Celebration of Christmas. The Chorale is inviting
interested singers to come to a rehearsal and try us out!
The major work for Christmas is part of the Christmas
Oratorio by Bach. This beautiful baroque music is a joy for singers and the
orchestra as well. In addition there are several Christmas anthems including
Caroling, Caroling by Al Burt, a Huron Carol with words translated from the
original Huron language, a Scottish carol for chorus and oboe that mimics the
sound of the bagpipe, a shape-note version of Hark the Herald Angels sing, and
more!
We also need an accompanist, since Joan Frost, our wonderful
accompanist for the last 5 years, retired. Interested singers and pianists can
